Onward Therapeutics is a young Swiss biotech company with operational activities in France, active in the field of oncology, focusing on differentiated immunotherapeutic approaches. Through in-licensing and capital investments, the company, led by an experienced international team, acquires drug candidates from innovative technology platforms.
The company is currently involved in the development of a bispecific antibody for immunotherapy that is entering the clinic phase and has invested in a pre-clinical allogenic natural killer (NK) cell technology, which will enter into the clinic by the end of this year.
Position and Mission
Reporting to the Director of Preclinical and Translational Development, the Cell Therapy R&D Scientist will have the following missions:
- Plan and conduct experiments, record and analyze data
- Manage the design of protocols, validate and interpret study results in connection with the CRO/CDMO
- Write/revise internal/external study reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality of study data
- Contribute to obtaining R&D grants, support the evaluation of new projects for licensing opportunities
- Present study results to senior management, participate in national or international scientific events, and publish study results
- Evaluate subcontractors for activities related to cell therapy
- Establish the necessary SOPs, order and ensure the maintenance of research equipment, manage stocks, etc.
Experience
- You hold a doctorate, and you have some research experience in cell therapy in oncology or immunology, followed by a post-doc of 2 to 4 years in the field.
- A first experience in pharma or biotech would be a plus.
- You have successfully conducted preclinical research programs in cell therapy: in vivo experimentation would also be a plus.
- You have an excellent knowledge of the technologies to be applied (cell culture and manufacture of genetically modified cells, design and cloning of vectors, DNA and RNA transfection, analytical procedures, etc.)
